Bei einer Bootsfahrt oder vom Gipfel der Dune du Pilat aus können Sie diese Sandbank bewundern, die seit 1972 als Naturschutzgebiet ausgewiesen ist. Sie ist die größte an der Küste der Gironde und erstreckt sich bei Ebbe über eine Länge von 4 km und eine Breite von 2 km. Sie befindet sich am Eingang zum Bassin d'Arcachon, wird von den Gezeiten verändert und ist ständig in Bewegung. Wenn Sie das Privileg haben, einen Fuß auf den Strand zu setzen, können Sie die Austernzüchter bei der Arbeit in ihren Austernparks und das unaufhörliche Ballett der Brandseeschwalben und anderer Zugvögel beobachten.
