Gegenüber der Basilika Notre-Dame und am Ende der Alleen steht ein Steinkreuz, das 1630 von den Einwohnern von Saint-Macaire (oder La Réole) errichtet wurde, um ein Ende der Pest zu erwirken. Bis zur Revolution kamen die Macarianer an den Tagen von Sankt Markus und Pfingsten in einer Prozession, die vom Oberen der Jesuiten angeführt wurde, dann folgten die Chorpriester, die Juristen in voller Montur und ihre Bruderschaften mit ihren Bannern.
