Dieses imposante Denkmal, ein Werk des Architekten Sir Edwin Lutyens, trägt auf seinen Säulen die Inschrift von über 72 000 Namen britischer und südafrikanischer Soldaten, von denen keine Grabstätte bekannt ist. Vor dem Denkmal befindet sich ein Friedhof, auf dem 300 französische Soldaten und 300 Soldaten des Commonwealth ruhen.
