Das Centre de la Mémoire präsentiert eine historische und dokumentarische Ausstellung über das Massaker an den Einwohnern am 10. Juni 1944 durch eine Einheit der SS-Division Das Reich im Kontext des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Sie soll Zeugnis ablegen, informieren und zum Nachdenken anregen. Er ist ein Plädoyer für den Frieden zwischen den Völkern. Die Ereignisse des 10. Juni 1944: Die Bevölkerung des Limousin-Städtchens Oradour-sur-Glane wird von einer Truppe von etwa 200 SS-Waffen niedergemetzelt. Dieser Ort, der im Originalzustand erhalten blieb, zeugt seit der Befreiung von den Gräueltaten der Nazis und der Notwendigkeit des Gedenkens an die 643 Opfer eines abscheulichen Verbrechens.
Während der Ferien im April sowie im Juli und August werden täglich um 14:30 Uhr Führungen angeboten (keine Reservierung erforderlich).
