Die Eröffnung der Strecke Malaunay - Le Houlme nach Dieppe durch die Compagnie des chemins de fer de Dieppe und de Fécamp im Jahr 1848 ermöglicht eine Verbindung des normannischen Hafens mit Paris über Rouen.
