Le Figaro ist eine wirtschaftsliberale und gesellschaftskonservative französische Tageszeitung. Das in Paris herausgegebene überregionale Blatt gilt neben Le Monde als die wichtigste meinungsbildende Zeitung Frankreichs. Le Figaro wurde 1826 zunächst als Satirezeitung gegründet. Sie ist damit die älteste bis heute noch veröffentlichte französische Zeitung. 1866 wurde sie zur Tageszeitung. Sie gilt heute als das wichtigste konservative Medium.
Seit Juni 2004 gehört Le Figaro dem Luftfahrtunternehmer und LR-Politiker Serge Dassault, dem rund 70 französischsprachige Blätter gehören. Dassault gab unter anderem eine Weisung an die Redaktion heraus, keine Informationen zu veröffentlichen, die seinen Geschäftsinteressen abträglich sein könnten; dies sorgte für Kontroversen in Frankreich und auch in der Redaktion selbst. Größter Konkurrent von Dassault ist die Groupe Lagardère.
