Der Col de l'Izoard befindet sich in den Hautes-Alpes, nordwestlich des Queyras-Massivs, auf einer Höhe von 2361 m. Es wird häufig von Radfahrern der Tour de France genutzt und ist berühmt für den Ort Casse Déserte am Südhang. Es ist ein extrem felsiges Gebiet (Pitons de Cargneules), das manche als Mond bezeichnen.
