Die Endrunde der Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 1998 war die 16. Ausspielung dieses bedeutendsten Turniers für Fußball-Nationalmannschaften und fand vom 10. Juni bis zum 12. Juli 1998 zum zweiten Mal nach 1938 in Frankreich statt. Erstmals waren 32 Länder vertreten.
Weltmeister wurde Gastgeber Frankreich im Finale gegen Titelverteidiger Brasilien. Der Vize-Weltmeister von 1994, Italien, schied im Viertelfinale gegen Frankreich aus. Dritter wurde Kroatien, das mit Davor Šuker den Torschützenkönig stellte, durch den Sieg gegen die Niederlande im „kleinen Finale“.
