Die Brauerei wurde 1866 gegründet und erhielt 1950, nach mehreren Übernahmen und Fusionen, den Namen Brasserie Artesienne. Die Produktion beträgt dann 45.000 Hektoliter pro Jahr. Bis 1985 war die Brauerei hauptsächlich auf den regionalen Markt ausgerichtet. Im selben Jahr wurde die Brauerei von der Saint-Arnould-Gruppe gekauft und erhielt den Namen Brauerei de Saint-Omer.
