Am Ortsausgang von Orthez in Richtung Pau befindet sich das Maison Chrestia, ein schönes Haus aus dem 18. Jahrhundert im Bearnaise-Stil. Es ist der Sitz der Association Francis Jammes, die 1982 gegründet wurde, um das Werk des Dichters in Frankreich und im Ausland bekannt zu machen.
Seit ihrer Gründung erhielt die Vereinigung ein umfangreiches Geschenk der Familie Jammes: Manuskripte, Korrespondenzen, Musiknoten, Fotos, illustrierte Bücher... Diese Sammlung wurde im Laufe der Jahre durch weitere Ankäufe und Schenkungen ergänzt.
Im Jahr 2012 erhielt das Maison Chrestia das Label Maison des Illustres des französischen Ministeriums für Kultur und Kommunikation.
