Appena fuori Orthez, questa bella casa béarnaise del XVIII secolo ospitò il poeta, romanziere, drammaturgo e critico dal 1897 al 1907. In questa casa scrisse "De l'Angélus de l'aube à l'Angélus du soir", Clara d'Ellébeuse e molti altri.
Manoscritti, corrispondenza, libri, spartiti musicali, foto e libri illustrati permettono di comprendere meglio la vita e l'opera del poeta... Questa collezione è stata integrata da altre acquisizioni e donazioni nel corso degli anni. Mostre: "Francis Jammes e Orthez al tempo della Maison Chrestia centenario dei primi due libri di quartine di Francis Jammes" e "Gli uccelli di Francis Jammes" con acquerelli di Lucette Julien.
La collezione è stata digitalizzata ed è disponibile attraverso la mostra digitale "Francis Jammes, Poète" su Francis-jammes.pireneas.fr. La Maison Chrestia ha ottenuto il marchio "Maison des Illustres".
