Diese Schmiede am Ufer der Auvézère, angekündigt durch das Rauschen des Wassers, ist eines der bemerkenswertesten Monumente der Eisenindustrie in der Dordogne.
Auf dem Hügel, das Schloss der Schmiedemeister, unten erinnert der Hochofen noch an vergangene Zeiten. Er war der letzte, mit Holzkohle betriebene der Region.
Das ganze über Jahr kann der Besucher über einen idyllischen Waldpfad um die Schmiede herumgehen, und sich ins letzte Jahrhundert zurückversetzen.
