Der Bau der heutigen Kirche geht auf das Jahr 1827 zurück. Damals war sie noch nicht das schöne Gebäude, das sie heute ist, denn im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert wurden zahlreiche Verbesserungen und Renovierungen vorgenommen, darunter der Bau des heutigen 54 Meter hohen Glockenturms im Jahr 1888.
