Dieses Museum wurde gegründet, um das Verständnis und die Wertschätzung für die Ortschaft Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert zu fördern. Es dokumentiert das Alltagsleben und die Berufe der Vergangenheit. Drechsler, Wäscherinnen am Ufer, Holzschuhmacher und andere werden durch lebensgroße Figuren dargestellt. Die Besichtigung ist ein Fest für das Auge. In der unteren Etage des restaurierten Hauses befindet sich ein angenehmer Salon de thé mit schmackhaftem Angebot.
