Auf den Stadtmauern der Ville-Vieille, die sich an das 1598 von Karl III. erbaute Zitadellentor anlehnen, verbirgt sich ein kleiner geheimer Garten. Dieser 1270 m² große Naturraum ist mittelalterlich, aber von der Renaissance beeinflusst und beherbergt Quadrate mit aromatischen und medizinischen Pflanzen. Im Frühling und Sommer kann man hier Geißblatt und Alte Rosen riechen oder die Blätter von Minze und Thymian zerrupfen.
