Um den kulturellen Bedürfnissen der Stadt, aber auch ihres gesamten Einzugsgebiets gerecht zu werden, beschloss der Stadtrat 1978, im Herzen der Stadt ein Zentrum für angewandte Kunst und kulturelle Aktionen einzurichten
Mitten im Stadtzentrum und mit einem Parkplatz in der Nähe ist das Centre Culturel Michel Manet leicht zu erreichen.
Ein großer Veranstaltungssaal mit 770 Plätzen, ein Empfangs- und Versammlungsraum und eine große Empfangshalle für Kunstausstellungen bilden eine Architektur, die die Begegnung mit der Kunst fördert.
