Der spektakulärste Mäander Frankreichs La Longue Roche befindet sich im Staatswald von Château-Regnault. Dieser Ort befindet sich auf dem Gipfel steiler Felsvorsprünge mit Blick auf die Maas und die Kleinstadt Monthermé. Der Aussichtspunkt dieser Stätte bietet ein sehr malerisches Panorama im Herzen der berühmtesten Maasschleife. Diese Stätte ist, ebenso wie die Quatre Fils Aymon und die Dames de Meuse, Teil eines großen Komplexes aus dem Primärzeitalter: dem kambrischen Massiv von Rocroi. Außerdem befindet er sich in der Nähe des ""Roche à Sept Heures"".
