El meandro más espectacular de Francia La Longue Roche se encuentra en el bosque estatal de Château-Regnault. Este emplazamiento está situado en la cima de empinados espolones rocosos que dominan el Mosa y la pequeña ciudad de Monthermé. La vista desde este lugar ofrece un panorama muy pintoresco, en el corazón del más famoso meandro del Mosa. Este yacimiento, al igual que los Cuatro Hijos Aymon y las Damas del Mosa, forma parte de un vasto complejo de la era primaria: el macizo cámbrico de Rocroi. También está cerca de la Roche à Sept Heures.
