Der Joye-Brunnen war seit der keltischen Zeit bekannt und wurde verehrt, da er den Ruf hatte, die Augen zu heilen. Er wurde unter dem Namen Saint Hilaire christianisiert und bis zum Anfang dieses Jahrhunderts inbrünstig verehrt. Der Brunnen ist heute mit Wasserlinsen bedeckt.
