Das geschützte Vogelschutzgebiet des Lac de La Prade, 5 km von Bazas entfernt, beherbergt eine außergewöhnliche Flora und Fauna. Der riesige, von Hügeln umgebene Stausee bietet dem Liebhaber eine ruhige Zone, die sich für die Beobachtung von Vögeln eignet. Eine große Kolonie von Aschenreihern hat sich hier angesiedelt, die neben Paaren von Haubentauchern leben. Außerdem gehören die Hänge des Sees zu den prioritären Orchideen-Trockenrasengebieten der Gironde. Ein markierter Wanderweg und pädagogische Einrichtungen erleichtern es, alle erfassten Arten zu beobachten und zu entdecken. Es stehen Angelstege und Picknicktische zur Verfügung.
