Militärfriedhof, auf dem die Leichen von 3751 Soldaten ruhen, die um Lunéville herum bei den Kämpfen im August/September 1914 gefallen sind oder von 1915 bis 1918 in den Militärkrankenhäusern von Lunéville verstorben sind, sowie die sterblichen Überreste von Soldaten, die bei den Kämpfen von 1940 gefallen sind
Dieser Ort zeichnet sich durch seine Ruhe und das Panorama, das er über die umliegende Region bietet, aus. Es ist nicht ungewöhnlich, dass hier Familien aus ganz Europa zusammenkommen, um das Grab eines Angehörigen zu besuchen.
Auf dem Gelände befinden sich: Espace Muséal Chaubet, Chapelle du Souvenir und Salle du Souvenir. Ein 1 km langer Wanderweg verbindet den Friedhof Mouton Noir mit dem Colline du Léomont.
