Die nationale Nekropole von Verdun "Glorieux" umfasst die sterblichen Überreste von Soldaten, die 1914-1918 bei den Kämpfen in der Region um Verdun für Frankreich gefallen sind. Der 1916 angelegte Friedhof wurde 1967 umgestaltet, um die Leichen anderer in der Gegend von Verdun gefallener Kämpfer zu sammeln, insbesondere die 1983 auf dem Friedhof von Fromereville exhumierten Leichen. Auf einer Fläche von 20.579 m2 beherbergt die nationale Nekropole über 4.000 Leichen von französischen und 2 britischen Soldaten aus dem Zeitraum 1914-1918.
