La necrópolis nacional de Verdún "Glorieux" contiene los restos de los soldados que murieron por Francia durante los combates en la región de Verdún en 1914-1918. Creado en 1916, el cementerio fue rediseñado en 1967 para reunir los cuerpos de otros soldados caídos en el sector de Verdún, en particular los exhumados en 1983 del cementerio de Fromereville. Con una superficie de 20.579 m2, la necrópolis nacional contiene más de 4.000 cuerpos de soldados franceses y 2 británicos del periodo 1914-1918.
