Maries Spezialgebiet ist die "Kunstbuchbinderei und Papierkunst". Sie praktiziert verschiedene Bindetechniken, von den traditionellsten (französische Bindung, Bradel-Bindung, Schachtelbindung) bis zu den kreativsten (Schulmädchenbindung, koptische Bindung, japanische Bindung, Wabenbindung, Ziehharmonika-Bindung, ...). Die Kunst des Buchbindens erfordert technische Anforderungen, Präzision und Strenge, die Marie gerne mit einer Prise kreativer Verrücktheit und einer sanften Poesie vermischt. Um ihre Leidenschaft mit möglichst vielen Menschen zu teilen, bietet Marie in ihrem Atelier in Bielle Einführungsworkshops in die Buchbinderei oder Buchbindepraktika an.
