Hier auf diesem Friedhof weist eine Tafel darauf hin, dass 2890 deutsche Soldaten hier begraben sind. Wenn man diesen Friedhof erkundet, kann man jüdische Kreuze sehen, aber auch eine Reihe von Kreuzen, die in Kreisen in einem Raum mit Gras und Bäumen aufgestellt sind. Dieser Friedhof zeugt von den vielen Opfern des Ersten Weltkriegs. Leutnant Alexander von Siebold, ein Mitglied der Familie von Zeppelin, der Erfinder der Luftschiffe, ist hier auf diesem Friedhof begraben.
Um den Lauf der Geschichte fortzusetzen, sollten Sie sich an das Fremdenverkehrsamt wenden, das Ihnen z. B. mitteilt, wo sich das Blockhaus des Observatoriums und der Erinnerungsfußweg in Illies befinden.
Im Ort La Bouchaine befinden sich ebenfalls etwa 20 Blockhäuser.
