Darstellung der lokalen Geschichte von der Frühgeschichte bis zum 21. Jahrhundert, wobei die Rolle der Straßen und der Dordogne als Lebensachsen hervorgehoben wird. Thematische Tafeln und Vitrinen zeigen die archäologischen Schätze, die an den Standorten Puy du Tour und Villa du Longour entdeckt wurden, mittelalterliches Mobiliar, Münzen... Dokumentarfilm über die Geschichte der Binnenschifffahrt und die Techniken zum Bau des Courpet (Gabare: traditionelles Boot mit flachem Boden).
Der Museumsbereich verfügt außerdem über eine Galerie für temporäre Ausstellungen, in der während der Saison durchschnittlich ein bis mehrere verschiedene Ausstellungen gezeigt werden. Kunst und Kulturerbe stehen im Vordergrund und ergänzen den Besuch der Dauerausstellung.
