Una presentazione della storia locale, dalla protostoria al XXI secolo, che mette in evidenza il ruolo delle strade e della Dordogna come vie di vita. Pannelli e vetrine a tema presentano i tesori archeologici scoperti nei siti del Puy du Tour e della Villa du Longour, mobili medievali, monete, ecc. Film documentario sulla storia della navigazione interna e sulle tecniche di costruzione del courpet (imbarcazione tradizionale a fondo piatto).
Il museo dispone anche di una galleria di esposizioni temporanee, che ospita in media una o più mostre diverse durante la stagione. L'arte e il patrimonio hanno un posto d'onore e completano la visita alla mostra permanente.
