Der Jachthafen liegt ideal im Stadtzentrum, in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und nur wenige Gehminuten von der neu renovierten Stabsakademie und den Geschäften entfernt.
Der ganzjährig geöffnete Hafen erstreckt sich über eine Fläche von 2 Hektar und verfügt über 80 Liegeplätze für Freizeitkapitäne, aber auch für bis zu 200 Boote, die jedes Jahr auf der Durchreise sind.
Die Stadt Compiègne liegt am Zusammenfluss von Oise und Aisne und ist ein beliebter Durchgangspunkt für den Flusstourismus nach Belgien, den Niederlanden, Deutschland, Dänemark, Norwegen und Großbritannien.
