Jean-Luc stammt aus einer Familie, die seit drei Generationen mit Holz arbeitet. Er hat zunächst mit europäischen Hölzern gearbeitet (Kastanie, Esche, Buche usw.), bevor er zwanzig Jahre in Guyana verbrachte, wo er in der Industrie Holzarten aus dem Amazonasgebiet entdeckte. Ende 2021 zieht er nach Lembras und beginnt mit seiner aktuellen Tätigkeit: das, was die Natur hergibt, zur Geltung zu bringen. Seine Arbeit konzentriert sich besonders auf die Farben, Maserungen, Reflexionen und Formen des Holzes und er bietet Dekorations- und Gebrauchsgegenstände sowie Auftragsarbeiten an. Jean-Luc bezieht PEFC-zertifiziertes Holz aus Guyana und trocknet es vor Ort in Lembras, um das ideale Feuchtigkeitsniveau für die Verwendung in der Metropole zu erreichen.
