Die Espingo-Hütte liegt im Larboust-Tal, einem schönen Gletschertal. Sie befindet sich auf halbem Weg zwischen dem Astau-Tal, einer der letzten Bastionen der Bergweidewirtschaft, und den hohen Gipfeln des Luchonnais (höchste Konzentration von 3000 Pyrenäenbewohnern).
