Jahrhunderts genehmigte Herzog Ludwig II. von Rochechouart-Mortemart, der von seinem Herrschaftsrecht Gebrauch machte, die Durchführung von Messen und Märkten. Die Markthalle könnte aus dieser Zeit stammen. Sie hat einen rechteckigen, offenen Grundriss und besteht aus 12 Eichenpfosten, die ein aus vier Dachbindern bestehendes Gebälk tragen. Das Dach ist mit Kanalziegeln gedeckt. Sie wurde 2013 restauriert. In Mortemart fanden bis zum Zweiten Weltkrieg monatlich wichtige Jahrmärkte statt.
