All'inizio del XVIII secolo, il duca Louis II de Rochechouart-Mortemart utilizzò i suoi diritti di signoria per autorizzare fiere e mercati. La sala del mercato potrebbe risalire a questo periodo. A pianta rettangolare e aperta, è costituita da 12 pali di quercia che sostengono un'intelaiatura composta da quattro capriate. Il tetto è costituito da tegole di canale. È stato restaurato nel 2013. Importanti fiere mensili continuarono a tenersi a Mortemart fino alla Seconda Guerra Mondiale.
