1954 besuchte Abbé Lucien Oziol (1920-2004), Vikar in Marvejols und auf Kinderarbeit spezialisiert, in Clermont einen Kongress über behinderte Kinder. Daraufhin beschließt er, sich in das Abenteuer zu stürzen und das erste Betreuungszentrum für behinderte Menschen zu gründen. Er kaufte das Anwesen Clos du Nid in der Nähe von Marvejols und baute dort die Scheune und den Stall zu Betreuungsräumen um.
