En 1954, el abate Lucien Oziol (1920-2004), coadjutor en Marvejols y especialista en trabajo con niños, asistió en Clermont a una conferencia sobre niños discapacitados. Decide dar el paso y crear el primer centro de acogida para discapacitados. Compró la finca Clos du Nid, cerca de Marvejols, y transformó el granero y los establos en alojamientos.
