Das 1688 wiederaufgebaute Haus beherbergt die schönste Sammlung von Gemälden und Skulpturen der National Trust. Petworth House war das Landhaus der Grafen von Northumberland, den Herzögen von Somerset und den Grafen von Egremont. Der riesige Park wurde von 'Capability' Brown angelegt. Geöffnet vom 27. März bis zum 31. Oktober. Auch ein Spaziergang durch die Stadt Petworth wird empfohlen.
