Het in 1688 herbouwde huis herbergt de mooiste verzameling schilderijen en beeldhouwwerken van de National Trust. Petworth House was buitenverblijf van de graven van Northumberland, de hertogen van Somerset en de graven van Egremont. Het gigantische park werd aangelegd door 'Capability' Brown. Open 27 maart t/m 31 oktober. Aanbevolen is ook een wandeling door het stadje Petworth.
