La maison reconstruite en 1688 abrite la plus belle collection de peintures et de sculptures de la National Trust. Petworth House était la résidence d'été des comtes de Northumberland, des ducs de Somerset et des comtes d'Egremont. Le parc gigantesque a été aménagé par 'Capability' Brown. Ouvert du 27 mars au 31 octobre. Une promenade à travers la ville de Petworth est également recommandée.
