In den 50er Jahren wurde am Broadway Tower nuklearer Fallout gemessen. Hier wurde auch ein unterirdischer ROC Corps Bunker in der Nähe des Turms gebaut. Dieser war von 1961 an ständig besetzt. Der Bunker war einer der letzten Orte des Kalten Krieges.
