Der St. Michaelsberg ist eine Gezeiteninsel, die 366 m (400 yd) vor der Küste von Mount's Bay in Cornwall liegt. Sie ist durch einen künstlichen Damm mit Marazion verbunden, der nur bei mittlerem bis niedrigem Wasserstand passierbar ist und aus Granitpflastersteinen besteht. Die Insel zeigt eine Kombination aus Schiefer und Granit.
Historisch gesehen war der St. Michaelsberg das koranische Pendant zum Mont Saint Michel in der Normandie, Frankreich.
Der Berg könnte das Mictis von Timaeus sein, das von Plinius dem Älteren in seiner Naturalis Historia erwähnt wird. Der griechische Pytheas besuchte die Insel im vierten Jahrhundert vor Christus.
Die Felsausbrüche rund um den St. Michaelsberg bestehen aus dem obersten Teil einer Granitintrusion in metamorphosed Devonian-Mudschnitten oder Peliten. Der Granit ist selbst mineralisiert mit einem gut entwickelten schichtförmigen Greisen-Adernsystem.
