Salton ist ein Dorf und eine Zivilgemeinde im Ryedale-Distrikt von North Yorkshire, England. Die Bevölkerung des Dorfes betrug bei der Volkszählung 2011 110, die Einzelheiten sind jedoch in der Zivilgemeinde Edstone aufgeführt.
Salton wird im Domesday Book erwähnt und gehörte damals dem Erzbischof von York, mit vier Dorfbewohnern und fünf Hektar Ackerland. Der Name des Dorfes stammt von den altenglischen Wörtern Salh, was Weide oder Weidenbaum bedeutet, und tūn, was ein Gehege oder einen Bauernhof bedeutet.
