Swineshaw Reservoir ist ein Stausee in der Nähe von Glossop, im Norden von Derbyshire. Im Jahr 1837 erlangten 50 lokale Fabrikbesitzer und Gentlemen, bekannt als die "Glossop Commissioners", ein Parlamentengesetz zur Errichtung der Glossop-Stauseen. Der Hurst Reservoir befand sich am Hurst Brook und der Mossy Lea Reservoir sollte Wasser vom Shelf Brook beziehen. Nur der Hurst Reservoir wurde gebaut, bevor das Geld ausging. Der Mossy Lea Reservoir wurde privat vom Herzog von Norfolk errichtet. Swineshaw, am Swineshaw Clough, wurde 1864 von der Glossop Water Company übernommen, um Trinkwasser für Glossop bereitzustellen. 1929 wurde es von den Glossop Corporation Waterworks übernommen. Dies wurde 1959 Teil der Manchester Corporation Waterworks. Swineshaw, Hurst Reservoir und Mossy Lea Reservoir sind nicht mehr in Betrieb.
