Afon Llafar ist ein Fluss in den Carneddau, Snowdonia. Er entspringt dort, wo viele Bäche die Hänge von Yr Elen, Carnedd Llewelyn und Carnedd Dafydd hinunterfließen, um im Tal unterhalb der Klippen von Ysgolion Duon zusammenzukommen. Er ist einer von mehreren ähnlich benannten Bächen in Wales. Der Fluss fließt nordwestlich entlang von Cwm Pen-llafar, wo der Caseg River ihn in der Nähe von Gerlan erreicht, und mündet im Herzen von Bethesda in den Fluss Ogwen. Afon Llafar hat die gleiche Etymologie wie der River Laver in North Yorkshire, England, wobei beide von brittonischem laβar abgeleitet sind, was "geschwätzig, angeberisch" bedeutet.
