Die Straße ist 32,8 Meilen lang, von Blaenau Ffestiniog nach Llanelltyd, über Harlech. Der ursprüngliche nördliche Endpunkt der Straße vor der Umnummerierung A470 war Llandudno. Die Straße führt durch eine vielfältige Landschaft, einschließlich des bergigen Gebiets von Blaenau Ffestiniog, zwei Ästuarien und der Cambrian Coast.
