Die Abtei Scone war ein Haus der Augustinerkanonikern, das in Scone, Perthshire, Schottland, lag. Die angegebenen Daten für die Gründung des Priorats Scone reichen von 1114 n. Chr. bis 1122 n. Chr. Historiker glauben jedoch schon lange, dass Scone zu dieser Zeit das Zentrum des frühmittelalterlichen christlichen Kults der Culdees war. Über die Culdees ist sehr wenig bekannt, aber man vermutet, dass ein Kult möglicherweise bereits seit 700 n. Chr. in Scone verehrt hat. Archäologische Untersuchungen aus dem Jahr 2007 deuten darauf hin, dass Scone bereits vor 841 n. Chr. ein Ort erheblicher Bedeutung war, als Kenneth MacAlpin den Stein des Schicksals, Schottlands wertvollstes Relikt und Krönungsstein, nach Scone brachte.
