Scone Abbey was een huis van Augustijner kanunniken gelegen in Scone, Perthshire, Schotland. De data die zijn gegeven voor de oprichting van Scone Priory variëren van 1114 n.Chr. tot 1122 n.Chr. Historici zijn echter al lang van mening dat Scone vóór die tijd het centrum was van de vroege middeleeuwse christelijke cultus van de Culdees. Er is zeer weinig bekend over de Culdees, maar men denkt dat een cultus mogelijk al vanaf 700 n.Chr. te Scone heeft gewijd. Archeologische opgravingen uit 2007 suggereren dat Scone een plek van echte betekenis was zelfs vóór 841 n.Chr., toen Kenneth MacAlpin de Steen der Lotsbestemming, Schotland's meest gewaardeerde relikwie en kroningssteen, naar Scone bracht.
