Der Dedham Vale ist ein ausgewiesenes Gebiet von außergewöhnlicher natürlicher Schönheit an der Grenze von Essex und Suffolk in Ostengland. Es umfasst das Gebiet rund um den Fluss Stour zwischen Manningtree und Smallbridge Farm, 1 Meile (1,6 km) östlich von Bures, einschließlich des Dorfes Dedham in Essex.
Es ist Teil des Gebiets, das als Constable Country bekannt ist, da es durch die Gemälde des englischen Romantikmalers John Constable berühmt wurde. Zu vielen anderen Arbeiten aus der Region gehören seine Dedham Vale-Gemälde von 1802 und 1828, die im Victoria and Albert Museum in London und in der National Gallery of Scotland in Edinburgh aufbewahrt werden.[1][2]
