Die wilde Herde von Ziegen ist hier auf Schiza ziemlich nervös. Und sie haben einen guten Grund. Es ist ein Übungsgelände für die griechische Militärluftwaffe. Daher ist es nicht erlaubt, Schiza zu besuchen. Es gibt einige Ziele auf der Insel, auf die die Piloten während des Trainings feuern. Schiza ist die größte der Oenousai-Gruppe. Sie hat eine Fläche von 12 km². Sie ist recht niedrig und der höchste Gipfel ist Vigla, 201 m, an der Nordküste. Es gibt eine schöne Höhle etwa 350 m vom Meer entfernt.
