Als Minoische Eruption wird der spätbronzezeitliche Ausbruch der ägäischen Vulkaninsel Thera bezeichnet, der im 17. oder 16. Jahrhundert v. Chr. die eng mit der minoischen Kultur verbundene Siedlung Akrotiri auf Santorin begrub. Seine direkten Auswirkungen sind umstritten; die bis in die 1960er Jahre oft vertretene Meinung, er habe den Untergang der minoischen Kultur auf Kreta herbeigeführt, ist heutzutage umstritten.
