Der Olymp ist das höchste Gebirge Griechenlands. Das fast ganz aus mesozoischen Kalksteinen bestehende Massiv liegt an der Ostküste Griechenlands, im Grenzgebiet der Regionen von Thessalien und Zentralmakedonien, unweit des Ortes Litochoro, ca. 20 km südlich der Stadt Katerini. In der griechischen Mythologie ist der Olymp der Sitz der olympischen Götter.
