Das Grundstück dieses Palastes ist 180 m breit und 215 m lang. Es wird von einer 2 m dicken Mauer umgeben, in die 16 Türme integriert sind. Die vier Eingangstore führen in alle Himmelsrichtungen und sind nach ihrem Baumaterial benannt (z. B. ist das goldene Tor der Haupteingang).
Innerhalb der Mauern befinden sich zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten, darunter auf dem Innenhof die Säulengänge.
Der Palast steht auf der Liste des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes.
